How to get Sturmbots to work
Preparing files
- Create a 2nd desktop icon for Day of Defeat and rename it Sturmbot
- Right click on the Sturmbot icon and select Properties
- Add -dll sturmbot\dlls\STURM_bot.dll to the Shortcut Tab launch options (see photo below)
- In your C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\....\day of defeat\dod folder, open liblist.gam file
- in liblist.gam file remove multiplayer_only from the line type "multiplayer_only"
- save liblist.gam file with line type "" (see photos below)
-dll sturmbot\dlls\STURM_bot.dll added to Launch Options
default liblist.gam file "multiplayer_only" removed
 
Playing single player DOD with Sturmbots
- Steam can be online or offline (it doesn't matter which)
- Click on Sturmbot destop icon to start DOD game loading
- at DOD menu, select New Game
- choose a map to play
- when map begins, you will see on-screen notice that Sturmbot program is operational (see top photo below)
- game will also show that map waypoints are loaded (see bottom photo below)
